[Brent Spiner]: My family and I went to London in New years, and we were eating at a restaurant with Patrick (Stewart) called The Ivy, which is an amazing place which is a threatre restaurant. People have been going there Noel Coward and Olivier. And we saw Benedict Cumberbatch across the room!

*pause for audience cheer*

[Matt Mira]: Oh, that’ll get a room going.

[Chris Hardwick]: Such an amazing actor

[Jonah Hill]: *at a girl’s reaction to Benedict’s name* Your face is amazing!

[Matt]: She just Cumberbatched!

[Brent]: That is undoubtedly the biggest reaction I got so far today.

[Brent] So, we saw BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH across the room. He was sitting with Eddie Redmayne. I don’t know if you know Eddie. Anyway, Benedict saw Patrick and myself and he came over to the table and said,
“I have to talk to you.”
And Patrick said, “All right…call me.”
He said, “No no, I have to talk to you NOW.”
Patrick said, “What is it?”
“I’ve just agreed to do the new Star Trek movie.”
“No, really?”
Then he said “Well, is it going to damage my career?”
I said, “Let me tell you something, Benedict. You’ll never work again after this.”

A bubble and squeak came out of his mouth and I don’t know what that is. But they serve it at the Ivy.

I do not understand why you think you have a weird face. Seriously, the more I look at it the more I like it. Your face regularly makes me itch to be better at drawing.

And ok, sometimes it doesn’t always photograph well but that doesn’t mean anything. Some of the most beautiful people I know take TERRIBLE photos. But when they’re moving, see… and animated… ah, that’s what makes the difference.

I read an article yesterday that said something like “he maintains people are only attracted to him because of Sherlock” or something and I was just like NO I loved you in The Last Enemy even though it was weirdly timed and made no sense and went on too long I watched it because of you and I was excited when I heard about Sherlock because of you so shut up.

And, Benedict, you are never more attractive than when you’re just being yourself. You do have the most perfect face the world has ever seen, but you’re intelligent and hilarious and thoughtful and kind and talented and I love the way you ramble away on tangents for hours and your vocabulary and your sometimes adorably shambolic dress sense and the fact that you’re good at fucking everything and that you’re a true inspiration to make the most out of life and just SERIOUSLY, man, you are beautiful in every single way it’s possible to be. I will never understand how you could ever think that we only love you for Sherlock. You make your characters attractive, not the other way round.

So there.
